About Me
Kelli grew up in and around radio her entire life courtesy of her father Al Casey. This of course paved the way for her to jump in to radio as soon as she finished high school which happened to be the same radio station her father had his first radio job years before back in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Kelli’s original intention was to ‘just do commercials’, but back in 1984 she was told that you needed to be a disc jockey before getting that privilege. With a natural love for radio, it wasn’t such a stretch for her to just dive in. Kelli started with overnights and then started climbing the ladder through air shifts which meant lots of moving around! She’s worked in Louisiana, Georgia & Florida and it is here where she took a break to sing full time for a couple of years before getting back in to radio yet again.
Her next adventure put her in Houston, TX, which was much closer to family in the Louisiana area, and firmly planted herself in the market for almost 10 years. Once she landed in Houston she also took up freelance voice over work in addition to her daily radio production requirements. It was quickly realized that somehow, Kelli wanted this to be her full time job! In October of 2000, the time was right to take the plunge and to focus completely on voice work and it’s been full steam ahead since then!
Kelli is raising 2 beautiful girls back in Sugar Land, TX (after a 3 year stop in Southern California). Kelli works out of her home studio during the week. As you can imagine, things have to be flexible around the Casey household! With kids from 17 (Almost 18!) to 8 years of age, you never really know where Kelli is going to get her next goofy sound, expression or experience! Teenagers are always coming and going and things tend to rub off!! This works in her favor though since being animated in this biz is the best way to be!!! It’s all about bringing the scripts to life and giving them the human touch!!
Whatever your needs are, just remember to “Pick The RED One!”
